Online IDC: PADI Instructor Development Course

We are announcing our first ever Online IDC (PADI Instructor Development Course) which is starting on October 1st 2021 with our awesome PADI Course Director Restuning Sandini!

Online IDC and Practical IDC

If you have been waiting for a return to normal to fulfil your dreams and become a scuba diving instructor, you can bypass the travel plans and get started immediately with us online!

Our Online IDC allows the entire PADI Instructor Development Course to be split into 2 parts:

Part 1 – Online

Rp7,000,000 / 7days

This part is run over 7 days and includes:

Online webinar – this is it – we are going LIVE!! During the online webinar you will cover 15 components and some additional workshops with Restuning, your PADI Course Director;
Online eLearning that you do yourself as self-study outside of the LIVE webinar. There are 16 eLearning sections, each with a knowledge review; you can do this before the webinar starts if you wish.

Part 2 – Practical IDC

Rp15,000,000 / 7days

You will complete your Instructor training over another 7 days by joining one of our PADI Instructor Development Center’s in Indonesia to cover the practical parts of the IDC including both confined water and open water, plus the EFR Instructor training.

You can decide to join any of our our PADI Instructor Development Center’s in Indonesia:

beautiful Bunaken in Manado, offers diving on some of the best walls in Asia;
laid-back Amed in Bali, home of the famous Tulamben wreck;
Nusa Lembongan in Bali, home of the manta’s & mola’s;
Sanur in Bali, where both Amed, Tulamben & Nusa Lembongan are just day-trips away from the more-developed part of mainland Bali.

You will need to start the Practical IDC within 12 months of completing the Online IDC, and we will publish a schedule of monthly Practical IDC’s across our centers when the current lockdown in Indonesia is eased in a few weeks.

You can also choose to join any PADI Instructor Development Center in the world for your Practical IDC, the choice is yours and will only be limited by any COVID/travel bans. Please note however that the price will vary as they will likely have their own pricing structure.

Pre-Requisites for the Online PADI IDC

In order to join us online, you need to be:

PADI Divemaster OR:
- An instructor member in good standing (renewed or eligible to renew) with another recognized recreational diver training organization;
- Have a leadership-level certification in good standing (renewed or eligible to renew) with another recognized recreational diver training organization;
- Have 60 logged dives with documented experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.

18 years old.

Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months, and have had no medical condition changes.

Certified diver for at least six months.

Completed the EFR Primary and Secondary Care course, or other qualifying training, within the last 24 months. Note: Emergency First Response Instructor (or qualifying rating) is required for Open Water Scuba Instructor certification.

If not a PADI Divemaster, successfully complete the PADI Divemaster course diver rescue skills assessment.

Documentation of any non-PADI qualifying entry level, advanced, rescue and leadership level certifications as required.

How Much Does it Cost?

We believe in clear pricing so you know exactly what it will cost from start to finish. Here are the prices for all components:

Online IDC: Rp 7,000,000 for the course plus Rp 3,500,000 for PADI Materials.
In-water IDC: Rp 15,000,000 if you choose to take it with Two Fish Divers. You may also opt to complete this in another location and the cost may be different. You will also need to add Rp 8,100,000 for PADI Materials.
