As the visitor numbers increased over the Christmas and New Year period in Bali we had the pleasure to welcome back friends over New Year! We managed the full sweep of Bali’s sites with trips to Tulamben, Padang Bai, Amed and Nusa Penida to entertain our divers… A full house of dive sites this week in Bali!
We welcomed back Beany & Kate who visited us in Lembeh a few years ago, they enjoyed trips to Tulamben, Padang Bai and Nusa Pendia. They were joined in Padang Bai by Petra who has been to our Bunaken resort and dived with us in Bali, too. Jutta, who has dived with us in Lembeh and Nusa Pendia did some exploration in Amed this week before returning to Nusa Lembongan.
Padang Bai turned out some great macro finds with the help of eagle eyed guide, Wakari, finding Ghost Pipefish, Seahorses, Cuttlefish, frogfish and Nudi’s galore. Tulamben’s premier attraction is the Liberty Shipwreck which never fails to please our divers, we saw white tip reef sharks, giant morays and some awesome Nudi’s this week. Although the Mantas evaded us at Nusa Penida this week, the viz was great and the currents were kind allowing everyone to take in the spectacular reefs! Amed on New Years day was calm and relaxed with some great macro finds.
The weather has been kind to us, with the rainy season seeming like a distant memory already! A great week in Bali – Happy New Year from all of us!
