In South Lombok, sightings of hawks bill turtles are common, you probably just need a little luck. But this week, we were so lucky that we saw them almost every dive. It’s been a lovely week here with the turtles out in force. That’s not all for this week! There were many sightings of other marine life as well.
Also, this week we did our first night dive on the sand which was amazing! We had sightings of octopus, the biggest spearing mantis shrimp i have ever seen, frog fish, ornate ghost pipe fish, crabs, shrimps, nudibranches, milibedes, moray eels and the list goes on!
It’s also a busy one here diving in south Lombok with the discovery of a new dive site. It has a huge soft coral reef on it but it needs a little more investigation to find out what can be seen there and of course, it’s going to need a name.
I also wanna congratulate Markus, who I have been calling Martin all week (“sorry”), for completing his open water course. Welcome to the world of diving, Martin [only joking, Markus].
Beautiful weather at the moment here. Sun shine, blue skies, visibility is at around 40 meters and some awesome diving with some beautiful marine.
