White Water Rafting
Go from shooting adrenaline pumping rapids to cruising through tranquil rice fields as you white water raft down the Ayung River in Bali. You’ll have the chance to see some of Bali’s exotic wildlife in it’s natural environment from lazing monitor lizards and wild monkeys through to a wide range of butterfly and bird species.
Experience the thrills and spills of driving through the lush Balinese jungles on your own ATV. There is a range of locations and trails to suit everyone from ATV enthusiasts through to those who would like to tour and take in Bali’s stunning vistas at a more leisurely pace.
Visit a Chocolate Factory
Bali’s rich and fertile lands provide ideal conditions for growing cocoa. Visit one of Bali’s famous chocolate factories and see how freshly picked beans are turned into luxurious, rich chocolates – you can even try making your own!
Take a Tour around Ubud
Ubud is the arts and crafts central of Bali. The famous Ubud art market is where the islands craftsmen come to sell their wares. You’ll find everything from colourful sarongs through to ornate wood carvings, painting and the latest bohemian fashions.
Enjoy Bali’s Iconic Temples
Bali is known as the Island of the Gods and is home to literally thousands of temples. Some of Bali’s most iconic temples are located in amid incredible scenery from cliff tops to ocean rock islands which can only be accessed at low tide. When you are in Bali a visit to a temple to see one of the colourful ceremonies is a must.
Cycle Through Rice Fields
Bali’s rural areas are characterized by the islands well-manicured rice terraces. The best way to see these stunning views – and the friendly local farmers who tend to them is on two wheels. Many tours start from the terrace tops so all you need to do is leisurely cruise downhill, taking in the scenery and stopping to talk to the villagers as you go.
Bali is well known for its spirituality and if you want to get in touch with your chakras, Bali is the place to do it. Around the island, you’ll find no shortage of yoga classes, barns, and retreats which cater to all levels from beginners to those seeking instructor programs.
Learn to Surf
This is what put Bali on the map – it’s legendary surf breaks. The most famous breaks around Bali are located on the islands west coast, Nusa Dua and Nusa Lembongan. Each year Bali hosts a number of international surfing competitions which are well worth watching.
No matter where you are in Bali you’ll find a spa on almost every street! Massages can be as cheap as $5 for 60 minutes through to prices similar to those you would expect in Europe or the US. Take your pick of where you want to go then just relax, unwind and let them work their magic.
