It’s been 2 weeks, so I’m now halfway through my divemaster course. But I still feel like there is so much more to learn! This week has been very busy, which was good as it meant I had the opportunity to assist in Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses.
I also did my deep dive scenario, during which I learnt how to plan a deep dive and set up the emergency tank. It was my first time to 40m which was very exciting! I have also spent sometime in the pool for my skill circuits. It feels very strange to be attempting to demonstrate, but it is also a good opportunity to make sure my own skills are up to scratch.
When not diving, my afternoons have been very busy with land based projects. So far I have learnt how to use the compressor to fill tanks, and search and recovery techniques. I am also currently working on my Project Aware task of organising a beach clean-up for next week.
I was very fortunate to see my first mola mola this week! It was an incredible experience and I hope I am lucky enough to see some more in the next two weeks!
