The second week has gone really fast. I am still in paradise: on tropical island with perfect diving conditions. During the week I have been assisting in two different courses, in Open Water and in Rescue course. In between the courses I had a chance to practice my scuba dive skill demonstrations and do some of my swimming tests.
I must say that the Open Water course had a great impact on me. There were several moments and situations in the course that I felt difficult to analyse and act on. The instructors always give feedback after each dive, or pool training. After the dives on this course the feedback and discussions were very important, helping me a lot to improve my diving practice.
In the Rescue course I often get to play the part of a tired diver, panicked diver or non-responsive diver. It can be rather amusing, occasionally, but we never forget the seriousness of these simulated accident situations.
And, last comes the best part…a new Open Water course just started and I was already today assisting in there! I’m really happy that get to participate on all these courses.
