After 2 weeks of my Divemaster Internship at Two Fish in Nusa Lembongan I have already experienced a lot. Time flies! It’s very interesting to see what’s going on in a Dive center. Who is in charge of what and what needs to be done, so everything works without problems and – most importing thing -pleases the guest. As a tourist you wouldn’t think how much work and effort there is behind the scene, so diving is safe and fun.
I met a lot of new people from all over the world and of course from Indonesia. The local people here are very friendly and helpful and it’s a nice change of view after the totally well organized life in Switzerland… It’s a very good learning field to be around different kinds of people and nationalities.
Until now I was assisting on an Open Water, a Discover Scuba Dive and a Rescue Course. I really enjoyed the role-playing at the Rescue Diver Course when I had to play the panicked or tired Diver. It was also very interesting to go through all the Open Water Course Skills again… Need to practice a bit.
So, there is still lots to be learned. But the staff here are very professional and makes sure I learn all the skills in time and correctly.
