Right, so that is me, finally finished my Dive Master course so can’t believe I have actually done it! Crazy to think that eight weeks ago I only had nine dives under my belt. Thanks to all the wonderful instructors and guides, all finished with my Divemaster Course in Bunaken!!!
I’m not saying that it has been the easiest time of my life. Loading boats at 6.30am, diving in the mornings, studying and learning all day until 7pm is tough. But I do have to say, what incredible fun I have had, many laughs with so many people. It has been fun to hang out with all the guides, they have taught me so much, not just creatures under the water but also helpful phrases to help me along to way hehe. As part of the course you have to do some swim tests, some are easier than others. My equipment exchange was funny as I had to swap all my equipment with one of the guides who is bigger than I am. Both of us. at the end. trying to swim with equipment either too big or too small.
I am glad I chose to do my course in Lembongan Bali, Lembeh and Bunaken because I feel that I can take a little something special from them all. My instructors have been so patient and helpful with me, teaching me skills, giving me tips on guiding, showing me how to assist with courses, teaching me briefings. They have all been passing on their knowledge from experience, so thank you all.
During the course I have also done five specialties; Nitrox, wreck diver, night diver, deep diver and search and recovery diver which will all be great to have for my future diving. All have taught me different things and have helped me to adapt and start to think for myself. I feel that I have learnt so much and have become a more mature person. Thinking about others and solving problems which once I would never have thought about.
I don’t know what will happen now In the future, but maybe one day I will be your divemaster 🙂
☺
