This last week around our Balinese Islands has been a very fishy and “crittery” one, as usual. The Santa’s hats have added that Christmas spirit to the great dives on this Awesome Underwater Christmas in Lembongan: Graceful Mantas in Manta Point and Manta Bay, Bamboo Sharks trying to get the Manta Extravaganza public’s attention in Manta Point, Giant Trevallies hunting on the currents at Toyapakeh, Eagle Rays flying on top of the reef in the North of Penida, heaps of nudis, shrimps, crabs and other critters, Buddha statues and lots of other awesome creatures. What else you want as Christmas Presents? 🙂
The Christmas holidays have filled our resort and boat with Guests looking for “Blue Christmas” and warm weather; most of them leaving the snow and the minus temperatures behind and coming for corals and warm weather. From the cold winters of the North Hemisphere, we have had Jutta, a Two Fish Divers re-repeating guest from Germany, that brought her great smile and love for diving, once more; Sven, also German, that is having some relaxed and easy dives, as he is normally used to more technical “hardcore” stuff; and then Paul and Peter, a father and son from England, with also a lot of diving experience; Sharmila, a Divemaster from Canada; Rene; and we still have here with us: Michael and Beate, whom we are going to miss a lot when they leave us, as Beate is spending a whole month with us: First 2 weeks with the Instructor Course and Exam and, the second part of the stay, spent fun diving and relaxing with her husband, Michael (Beate, Danke for the photo on this article, and for the other ones!!).
But it’s not all about Experience divers, and this is what is good in our location: Caters for all levels of scuba divers. This week we had Niklas, taking his Open Water Course with Anna as Instructor and with his friend Axel as his buddy, he was already certified but haven’t been diving for a while, so took a Refresher to get ready for the Open Water experience. And the same did Steve, a surfer from Australia, that joined us for a fun and refreshing pool session and afterwards for a couple of drift dives on the North of Penida. And still another Michael! Sharmila’s friend, that have been certified as Advanced Open Water diver after learning a little more about Buoyancy, Navigation, Currents, Deep dives and Photography.
Heading to the New Year’s Eve Week… Let’s see what surprises we get!
