Woah! Only two more days before Andreas, Thano and I finish our PADI Divemaster Training here in Lembeh with Two Fish Divers. Tomorrow we are organizing the final part of our training – the AWARE Project. The purpose is to organize an activity promoting environmental awareness, so we are heading out to clean the reef in front of one of the local villages.
The first two weeks in Bunaken had been very intense and I completed most of the training requirements before heading off to Lembeh. This way, I have been able to spend most of my time here fundiving – and fundiving in Lembeh is absolutely wicked. I have seen SO many things I had never seen before, and literally after every dive, I ascend, take off my hoodie and mask and ask the dive guide “What was THAT?!”. Amongst many other some highlights are: Rhinophea Scorpion fishes, Mimic & Mosaic Octopus, Pleurobranch nudis, Hairy Frogfishes, Bluering Octopus, a stargazer, several kinds of Pygmy Seahorses aaaand… The Lembeh Seadragon!
I have decided to stay with Two Fish Divers a little longer and continue my professional dive training in Bunaken. I will enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course in a couple of weeks, after completing an internship as a Divemaster. Very excited about all of this, but now it’s time for dinner! Write to you soon!
