This week in Lembeh we’ve been on a mission to find the beautiful Coleman’s Shrimp! They were high on the list for our guests and the dive guides didn’t disappoint finding several pairs on the fire urchins.
Other critter highlights this week include Wunderpus, Hairy Frogfish, Bobtail Squid, Tiger Shrimp, Ornate and Robust Ghost Pipefish, Algae Octopus, Zebra Batfish, Flamboyant Cuttlefish, more Picachu Nudis (Thecacera), Sea Moths, Severns and Bargibanti Pygmy Seahorse, Lembeh Sea Dragons, Mimic Octopus, and Bobbit Worms.
We also found four Sargassum Frogfish when we were cleaning the beach one day and a large ray (possibly an Eagle Ray or small Mobula) somersaulted in front of us as we were returning from our morning dives! The ray was way too fast to identify but it was a spectacular sight none the less!
We’ve also had a busy week with courses as Lyn completed her PADI Wreck Specialty with instructor Hiro diving the Mawali Wreck; Ruth and Chris completed PADI Discover Scuba Diving with instructor Dani and Chris even went on to get his full PADI Open Water Diver certification! Well done guys 🙂
