Our instructors have been busy with Divemaster internships over the past couple of weeks here in Two Fish Divers Amed! First, we congratulated Divemaster Esther as she finished her course after spending one and a half months with us. She joined us to complete her Rescue Course and has developed into a talented diver with professional level skills. Check out this video below of her final day of guiding as a Divemaster Trainee. We had fun exploring the nearby corals and the USAT Liberty Shipwreck, a dive site you should definitely add to your bucket list!

We also welcomed new students John, who started his PADI Divemaster Internship just over a week ago to realise his dreams of becoming a dive pro; Fred, who just completed his Rescue Course with us and is now beginning his Divemaster Internship; and Shanu, who was just certified as an Emergency First Responder and will soon start Rescue and several PADI Specialities before beginning her Divemaster training in another week. Two Fish has a maximum of two Divemaster trainees at a time per location, so students are starting at different times. This means that during your DIve Pro training you have plenty of time with our instructors and Two Fish inhouse Dive Pro Teams. This is extremely beneficial to learning because throughout your experience you’ll get to support new interns along their journey and learn from more experienced interns as well! Also, you have the opportunity to do your training in multiple locations, so you also get to work with many instructors and see how different dive shops within Two Fish are organized.
We’ve had some impressive dives with these students already! We’re always excited to dive the USAT Liberty Shipwreck for all it has to offer. Plus, we also get to revisit with the schooling sweetlips and often witness the Bumphead parrotfish cruising by. It’s really fun to explore all around the shipwreck and discover marine life hiding in new places. No matter how many times you dive into this famous wreck, you’ll discover something new and be wowed by the experience!
Our Two Fish Amed House Reef never disappoints either. Juvenile painted frogfish, Thecacera pacifica, or Pikachu nudibranch, giant marbled groupers, Costasiella kuroshimae or sheep sea slugs and so much more were all spotted this week! Even during our training dives with rescue scenarios, we often stumble across some amazing critters sitting in the black sand while our students are practicing search patterns or other skills.
