Hey there! My Name is Caroline and I will tell you a little bit about my journey to become a PADI Divemaster.
I started diving 2 years ago and I unsteadily fell in love with the underwater world and I knew it could be an option someday to become a PADI Divemaster and work as a diver. Two years past by and I wanted to become a PADI Divemaster anywhere in Southeast Asia. I wrote a view emails and I got a really detailed and nice answer from Two Fish Divers. After I checked all of the responses I got from all dive centers I knew that I will choose to become a PADI Divemaster with Two Fish DIvers, and I booked everything and got excited for that new experience. Every question I had, (and I had a lot), was answered and I was ready to go. At the airport a really nice staff member waited to pick me up and drove me all the way up to Two Fish Amed Resort. Amed is an amazing place to stay if you want to see a little bit of the culture, don’t want to have tourists all around and gain weight (so many great restaurants to discover).
On the day after my arrival, I went to Two Fish and was welcomed by the crew. They told me all about my schedule and responsibilities and studying and I started straight after that with my Emergency First Responder Course. After a few nearly dead people (but I saved them!!), I could start with my PADI Rescue Diver course. In the beginning I had to do the theory and after that a pool session. 3 Days of saving people, getting them to the shore, finding them after they got lost, and lots of rescue breath I was ready for my Divemaster Training.

I got a huge pack of books and everything you need to know about the Training and how I would become a PADI Divemaster. Again, I started with theory, to know more about diving and the Ocean. We talked through everything and they explained everything in detail if I didn’t understand it. Between studying I could join fun dives and I also had training dives and practice sessions in the pool. The diving in Amed is really nice, you have a lot of different dive sites and a lot to discover and see during the dives. The Divemaster training was harder than I thought in the beginning, but I definitely learned a lot and improved during the time. Every day we did something different and it was nice to become part of a team. I still have two weeks to go and will finish it and become a PADI Divemaster at Two Fish Nusa Lembongan Resort. My thinking about diving and how I look at situations while diving has already changed and after I finished my course with Two Fish Divers I know I will have had excellent training and I will be ready to work as a Divemaster or maybe do the next step of taking my IDC (Instructor Development Course) to become a PADI diving Instructor.
