This week a few bottlenose dolphins were spotted on a dive on Bunaken! This is only the second time this year, that we witnessed this rare sighting of dolphins during one of our dives.
Our lucky pair of divers, Yvette and Riammi with their dive guide Egen saw 3 beautiful bottlenose dolphins fly past the turtle covered wall on their dive at Muka Kampung. Although we see them fairly frequently on the surface it really is a treat to see these graceful creatures under the water! It goes to show that everything is possible in the big blue ocean around our marine park.
It has been like a reunion for many divers here on Bunaken this week with a group of 9 returning guests from the UK visiting the critters of Lembeh before joining us over here for a week on the vast coral walls. Another returning guest from the UK, Yvette, arrived this week and will stay a few days with us before heading over to visit our friends in Lembeh strait. What a luxury to be able to offer such a variety of diving in such a small area!
Our instructors are have kicked off a new round of courses with Julien working hard to complete his advanced open water course and Romaine has been paired up with Sam to complete his peak performance buoyance specialty course. Look out everyone as we will have some buoyancy masters among us!
We have also celebrated the arrival of our new boat, Nautilus, after leaving our friends in Lembongan and spending some time getting modified and repaired she has arrived in Bunaken and is ready for service. We look forward to taking you out in her for a few dives!
