The first time I went on a Discover Scuba Dive I had no idea what road it would lead me down. I absolutely fell in love with the underwater world and wanted to learn as much as possible about Scuba Diving. It has been an amazing journey going from Open Water to Divemaster! I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me in the next few years. Hopefully, I will be writing new blogs about my journey to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor at some point next year.
I am currently in the process of an internship with Two Fish Divers Bunaken. This past week I have organized a Dive Against Debris Clean up with guests and staff using the Project AWARE event guidelines. I have also been assisting with PADI Open Water courses and guiding groups of certified divers on fun dives.
I arrived in search of dive training and what I found was a group of people I now consider family. I look forward to returning to the United States and putting my new skills to use. I intend to work as a dive master for a year to gain as much experience as possible and return to Two Fish for my IDC next year.
It has been a wonderful experience! I would like to thank Colin and Maia for pushing me to be a better diver. I also want to thank the amazing dive and resort staff at Two Fish Divers Bunaken. I hope a person that comes across this blog will be able to visit and meet all the wonderful people one day.
If you ever find your self in the North Sulawesi area of Indonesia you must come and visit Two Fish Divers Bunaken. Endless wall dives with so much marine life. Just today on the boat ride out for our morning dives we spotted two dugongs. You never know what you will see diving in this Bunaken Paradise. You’ll Have An Amazing Time!. Hope to see y’all under the water!
Hey Nick, all the best!!!!!
Well done, mate!
