This week we said a big hello to welcome Yvonne to Bunaken – and we’ve also had an impromptu Koh Tao reunion.
It’s been a busy week for technical diving in Bunaken with Chris visiting from Koh Tao to do as many fun tech dives as possible.
Chris recently became a TDI Extended Range diver and is now considering becoming a technical diving instructor. To build up his experience the deep walls of Bunaken were just perfect and over the last few days we not only dived, but also worked on Sidemount gear configuration, perfected dive planning and polished up those all-important skills. With two more diving days to go, Chris has taken the opportunity to dive twinsets again to refamiliarise himself with hat setup.
And as if that wasn’t enough of a Koh Tao influence, we’re also saying hello again to Yvonne who – as some of you may already know – will be taken over when Dom leaves Bunaken later in the week. Initially here as a guest in January, she liked it so much she’s come back to stay.
We’ll be spending the next few days trying to dive as many of the local sites as possible – giving Dom a chance to dive his favourites before heading off and Yvonne an opportunity to get to know her new stomping ground.
