I have had a busy week ticking boxes off the list of requirements for my DM! I did a DSD, 400m swim, 800m swim, extensive excellent compressor workshop, super thorough equipment workshop, my skills in the pool, OW confined 1,2,3 and so much more just being immersed in the busy busy life at Two Fish Divers Bunaken.
It was also Christmas! We had a really lovely time with everyone and there was lots of Christmas spirit! My Christmas Day, I experienced a whole new perspective. For my deep dive specialty, I went to, for the first time, 40 meters (130 feet) in the deep blue sea. It was AMAMAZING, as our Fiji instructor friend Richie ( a previous Two Fish employee) would say!!! But seriously, it’s not even that deep and I loved it. It was great! Slight problem was I was sooooo excited because the dive site was so gorgeous and I was back in the water after 10 dry days, I went through my air so fast and we had to have a short dive. Lol. But you know, I didn’t even care.
Something magical happened today for me. All the experienced divers that will read this will just say, “oh Georgia, you were narced that is why you loved it!” Yes, that was fun and felt great and it was even better because I was aware of it happening, but no, really it wasn’t just that. What I felt today is the reason, I dive.
