This week in Lembongan… We been seeing lots of manta rays at Manta Point and the water is getting a wee bit cooler. This week has also been really busy with lots of people coming asking about diving at the manta ray dive sites and we have been very lucky with seeing a lot of them at Manta Point. We have been having lots of fun with a group of 11 French divers that have been diving with us the full week. Maybe it is this group that has brought all the manta luck as they have been seeing a lot on their trips to Manta Point. It has been amazing diving with this group. The island is pretty busy at the moment with many walk in guests coming in hoping to see the amazing diving around the area as well as the chance to see some manta rays.
The dive guides have been talking about how the water is getting colder, we are getting closer and closer to the high season, which is normally when we have the colder water but this is normally when we see the mola mola! The mola season is around June – October. Last year the season was a little late but went on until the end of November, with September being a great month for mola sightings. Hopefully the manta rays stay around Manta Point so we can see them again when we go there.
We would also like to say a big welcome to all the IDC candidates who have been arriving over the last few days and getting themselves already for starting the course tomorrow!
