It’s time for congratulations and celebrations this week in Bunaken as our instructor candidates have successfully passed their Instructor Exam! A fantastic start to our 2016 series of IDCs at Two Fish Divers and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
The last couple of weeks have been a little bit tense for some of us in Bunaken as most if not all eyes were on the instructor course taught by Dive-Careers.com’s Marie-Lise Roux. Whilst the team was keeping their fingers crossed for all of the candidates, of course, we were particularly focussed on our Lembongan Divemaster Yayan and Simon from London, who previously completed his Divemaster course in Bunaken. Most of the guys will be staying with us to complete internships, so if you are coming to visit one of our centres in the next couple of months you’ll have a chance to meet Roya and Simon in Bunaken and Fred and Yayan in Lembongan.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Two Fish instructors/managers Dani and Bryce became PADI IDC Staff Instructors and will be helping out with our future instructor courses. If you are thinking about becoming a PADI Instructor this year, drop us a line for more information.
Of course, fun diving hasn’t stopped and neither have other courses. Leo completed his TDI Decompression Procedures accompanied by reef sharks, giant trevallies and turtles, whilst dive manager Dion is about to complete a PADI Open Water course. We’ve seen plenty of nudibranchs, crabs and shrimp, too, both on our courses and fun dives. Aided by incredible visibility, we’ve seen larger schools of mackerel, fusiliers and chevron barracuda, to name just a few. Let’s see what March brings – with the end of rainy season, we are looking forward to spectacular visibility and more of the big stuff in the blue!
