Challenging and fun is the Rescue Diver course! You wouldn’t describe it a better way. Being a Rescue Diver is a commitment with safe diving practices and so on other diver’s safety.
You may wonder what is fun in that? Well, practicing different scenarios, learning how to react in front of them and making decision facing an emergency leads you to situations which are definitely funny. Not that rescuing isn’t something you don’t take seriously but that you discover yourself doing things you wouldn’t be able to do.
It’s a bit what happens to Melissa and Dixun, our fellow students from Singapore, this last few days! They came to Amed to have some dives and relax and realized quite soon they didn’t pick up the right course to do so! It wasn’t relaxing, but very rewarding instead!
They had to pretend they were panicked and make everything to make the rescue mission harder for their buddy, they had to tow their unconscious buddy while providing rescue breath and then exit the water with a dead-like body before providing CPR on the beach.
Becoming a rescue diver is also learning how to organize a search for a missing diver, keeping in mind that time is crucial, it’s definitely giving the best of yourself to provide help to someone in trouble.
So if you feel like your diving holidays are a bit too relaxing, sign for the PADI Rescue Diver Course and we guarantee you some action, some challenges, and some good fun!
