Christmas has officially started for Two Fish Divers Bunaken with the blessing ceremony of the dive center and resort by the local church. For this important part of the year we invite all of the staff along with family members for a service along with local food, musical performances and dancing. What a great event for our lucky few guests to see the true style of Bunaken. I must say that we have some real musical talent here and we especially enjoyed the singing from our Restaurant staff Christine and Nolvy, world class!
Our long-term guest and friend Ben from Switzerland, along with his daughter Loyane have been enjoying an almost private resort for a few days now. The pool, boats and dive sites all to themselves, what a treat! No Loyane has started to further her diving education and become a PADI Rescue diver as well as becoming an EFR first aider. Its always good to have another life saver in the house. Our new arrivals Timo and Hanna from Finland have been enjoying the diving on their first time in Sulawesi. We are also starting a Junior Open Water course and Junior Advanced course for brothers Jade and Flynn from Australia who will be excited to get certified on Christmas day!
With this time of the year known as the rainy season it has been living up to its name for the last week or two. This refreshes our water supply on the island, feeds the beautiful plants and gives us some nice cool days as a rest from the heat of summer.
