A fairly relaxed Christmas and New Year in south Lombok with a very Indonesian style Christmas lunch and a few drinks and fireworks for the New Year.
We also had a visit from an old friend/student divemaster trainee Zoe (although not a trainee anymore) and her friend Maria who came to spend the holidays with us here in south Lombok.
Not the greatest time for the visibility in the south but a great opportunity for some serious macro hunting. In the wet season we see an abundance of nudibranchs, although we are not exactly sure why we see so many different kinds of nudibranchs at this time of year, we are very happy that there are so many to feast your eyes on (or point your cameras at).
All the other macro life is around with sightings of pygmy seahorses, harlequin shrimp, peacock mantis shrimp, tiger mantis (huge!), shrimps, crabs and a very lucky 2 dives where we found a flamboyant Cuttlefish on both.
