This week on Mainland Bali: we have been doing a number of daytrips around Bali mainland and on one particular trip to the Japanese Wreck in Bali we found some incredible critters.
The Japanese Wreck in Bali is near Amed and is an easy but great dive, and we found critters like Leaf-fish, Ghost-pipefish and Pigmy Seahorses. It seems that critters have been taking over all the dive sites around mainland Bali, and the Japanese wreck and the Padang Bai Jetty seem to be the hangouts for all our favourites ones.
We also had some dives at Tulamben and Candidasa with a mola-mola, but unfortunately we missed it since it was not in the exact same spot as us. However, the 19 degree thermoclines are here and that can only mean one thing, it is the start of Mola-Mola season!
This week we had Georgia and Phil, no strangers to Two Fish, do some more dives with us and they are currently diving with us in Lembongan chasing Manta rays. We also had Yemi, our first ever Diver here in mainland Bali, do a couple more dives with us and is now looking for Hammerheads in Lombok with DiveZone/Two Fish in South Lombok.
Its been a busy week and the dives haven’t been disappointing us.
We saw a sackful of Pygmy seahorses at the Japanese wreck yesterday… See you in two Fish Lembeh next week for the greatest diving honeymoon ever!!
