Hey, it’s Marcus! Well, following my stay at Two Fish Divers Amed in Bali, I moved on and finished up my Divemaster Course in Gili Air! Here I was with a fellow Divemaster Trainee, Patric and later we were joined by Mel! Patric and I suffered some of the most gruelling exercises together, including the rescue scenario! It was good to have a buddy by my side – even if he went too deep on his dives and drove me crazy!!
Gili Air is a fantastic place and taking your Divemaster Course in Gili Air is a must! Should you be lucky enough to visit the island, make sure you stop by Olala Cafe for a decent feed! The place serves up the best food on the island and thanks to me, doesn’t everyone at Two Fish Divers know it!!
My highlight in the ocean has to be the sighting of the blue-ringed octopus! It was absolutely amazing! Taking my Divemaster Course in Gili Air combined with Amed has been a brilliant experience! Thank you to my instructors Jenny and Komang – you’ve helped me become a better diver and Komang, we just had to wait for you to return from Bali for the snorkel test! It wouldn’t have been right without you!
What’s next for me? Well, I hope to move forward and take a commercial diving course in Sweden and then live the dream of traveling and diving! You never know, I may even decide to go on and do my Instructor Development Course!
