When I started last week I felt like I’d never get done all the stuff I still had to do and yet here I am with only two more things to do before I finish!!
Have done both exams and the skills assessments and the swim tests including the dreaded stress test which was actually very funny!!! Today I was the Divemaster on the boat which was good fun. The boat was busy with a total of 13 divers (including guides) and I was responsible for ensuring enough tanks and kit was aboard, that everyone had everything they needed, doing the boat briefings and the dive briefings and ensuring everyone returned safely to the boat.
All I have left now is the assessment of my rescue skill and the O2 workshop. I even have time to do the Nitrox course which I have been dying to do for ages!!!
I have really settled in here and would love to stay but unfortunately I can’t. I will miss all the staff here. Their friendliness and sense of fun has been awesome to be around (not to mention the Palm wine which I love!!).
This course has confirmed to me that this is the kind of job I would love to do permanently! It feels like such a perfect fit for me.
I hope to make the most of my last week here and will never forget my time here!
