I feel so lucky that I ended up doing my divemaster internship in Nusa Lembongan and to have the opportunity to familiarize myself with the reefs and marine life in Indonesia. There are so many beautiful corals and marine creatures that I’ve had the privilege of seeing. So far the new animals I have gotten to see are sea snakes, ribbon eels, and blue-spotted rays. While not new, I have been so stoked to see lots of nudibranchs, turtles, octopi, cuttlefish, giant eels, huge pufferfish, breathtaking sponges, and vibrant coral. It’s been an exciting and colourful adventure on every dive!

There are also amazing and sweet people on the island of Lembongan and at the Two Fish Divers Lembongan Resort.  My instructor Tom has been so wonderful… especially since I had to take a few days off diving from an infected cut on my heel. Everyone at Two Fish, all the staff, dive instructors, boat captains, students… everyone has been so kind and welcoming; giving advice and always happy to lend a hand. I want to give a big thanks to Baron, one of the instructors here who has tolerated my never-ending questions and eagerness to review chapters ASAP. He and Tom have taught me a lot during the course of my stay here.

I’m sad that my divemaster internship in Nusa Lembongan is coming to an end but next up, I am headed to Gili Air to finish the second half of my divemaster course there. While, I am sad to be leaving this wonderful island, I know I will find my way back and I am so excited to start diving in Gili Air!
