Meet Ningsih – Divemaster Trainee

Hi, i’m Ningsih. I’m doing my Divemaster training in Two Fish Divers Lembongan. Here’s what I have been doing… Last week I was busy doing my dive site mapping at Crystal Bay dive site, with Damien, Damien is another divemaster in training also at Two Fish Lembongan. We completed our mapping projects with our lovely Two Fish Instructor Tom. In the beginning, Damien and I were getting confused underwater – it’s not as easy as it sounds! But with some guidance from Tom, we made another dive, got our plan right and made our dive site maps! We used an underwater camera to help us with the mapping project and we will draw and write all the information we need until we have a solid map. The diving was fun too and we also saw turtles, nudibranch and octopus!

For me, it’s very important that I get a good understanding of everything I need to know to be a good Divemaster because I’m also Indonesian and I’m training to be one of the Two Fish Divers team of Dive Guides in the future. After I finish my divemaster training dives in the morning I continue my study in the afternoon, during my duty time and also I have been participating in assisting in some diving courses. It’s a busy job but I am very proud to be chosen to take my divemaster training and I want to become a good Dive Guide. I know I need to work hard and study and watch the Two Fish Divemasters to see how they handle the currents and guests – I am learning all of the time but I know that with hard work and experience I can do this!
