I’m feeling surprised that I have made it this far into my Divemaster training in Nusa Lembongan! I’m extremely thankful to everyone in Two Fish Divers Lembongan from the Front Office, Boat Crew to everyone in the Dive Team. They have offered great assistance all along the way in my program.

During this trip for my Divemaster training in Nusa Lembongan, we have had a lot of Chinese divers visiting us because it was China Public Holidays. I’ve had the opportunity to conduct a PADI Scuba Review program with Valerii (Instructor) in the pool – supervising for a Chinese couple who had not dived for a while. I believe It’s always good to be taught in your native language as you can understand faster. Upon completion of the session, I felt accomplished as I managed to complete the entire session which I thought couldn’t deliver. I was translating very carefully so the guests understood their instructor – I really felt like part of the Two Fish Team – this is what I love about my Divemaster Training in Nusa Lembongan – being helpful and feeling like part of the crew!

I’m also extremely fortunate to be able to participate in a pool session with the IDC candidates. I played the part of a student who they needed to teach and I was given a skill and a mistake to make by the Course Director. It was a short session but I benefitted a lot from watching the IDC candidates and the Course Director in action!

Last but not least one of the interesting lessons I have learned was when Valerii was teaching the PADI Open Water Course and one of the guests was so panicked and fearful that she was reluctant to enter the water in the ocean and how Valerii calmed her and encouraged her underwater. The patience and care of what a dive professional needs to have were all shown in this instance. I’m glad to congratulate that guest who has now become a confident diver.

I’m now looking forward to my upcoming training!!
