Divemaster Training: Final Week in Bunaken
So it is the last bite of my PADI Divemaster training here in Bunaken already. I will definitely miss Two Fish Bunaken Resort, the dive sites, people here and everything when I am back home! Thanks to Colin and Maia, also Divemaster Intern Bastien, I have accomplished everything on the checklist to become a certified PADI Divemaster. It was absolutely not easy, but it was memorable. If you are doing Divemaster training which only tires you out and you are not growing and absorbing heaps of knowledge every day, you are unfortunately doing it wrong. I really love my Divemaster training, every detail of it. Of course, I got tired sometimes, I would never imagine myself carrying so many tanks every morning, my arms got sore the first few days but I was never doing this alone. Bastien was always helping me, with Colin and Maia as well. And the other members of the team would always get the lightest stuff for me, haha! They are all super nice! But I would ask to carry more because I am a part of the team, so nobody can slack off!
I am so happy that I did my Divemaster training here, I have made so many beautiful memories here. Other than sharks and eagle rays, people matter a lot as well. It is not partying and drinking, but how patient everyone has been and the will to teach me about everything about diving, more than I need to know. They were not just being nice and let me pass everything with a smile, they are really teaching seriously. We practice and practice over and over, making sure I understand everything and get everything in my brain, and we do assessments until they think I am ready. In this way, I really remember and understand, not just cramming stuff in my head. Their feedback to me was comprehensive and very constructive which was very helpful for me to be a better Divemaster. They are definitely the best instructors I have ever met, also the best mentors! Also a shout out to Bastien, the Divemaster Intern here, he is the best brother to teach me everything he learned and work with me all the time! Thanks to him, I got better in pool practice, guiding practice, swimming tests, and dive routine, etc much appreciated for all of his help!
The Divemaster training was so fruitful and much more than I expected! Thanks everyone who has taken part in this journey, it made my training the best ever!
