Diving Lembongan and Manta Point (by Divemaster trainee Caroline)

I arrived in Lembongan to continue my Divemaster Training just a few days ago. When I arrived on Lembongan Island I instantly fell in love with it. At the Two Fish Divers Lembongan Resort everyone welcomed me and on the very next day I was ready to go diving around Nusa Lembongan and Manta Point at Nusa Penida.

We drove out with a nice boat and jumped into the water. The underwater world of Nusa Lembongan and Manta Point is just fantastic. A lot of corals with things to see and to discover. But the best of all so far was Manta Point. It was an amazing boat drive to get there. When we arrived everyone was really excited and hoped to see some Manta Rays. Under the surface there was so much to see. Sting Rays, Octopus, Morish Idol and so on. We swam around and suddenly we could see two Mantas far away. So we stopped and they came closer to us. They were so close that it felt like you could touch them. These elegant and huge creatures just seem so calm. It was just stunning. After they were gone, we continued our dive and could see more Manta Rays. Most of the time they came very close, seemed like there were wondering what people are doing on their cleaning spot.

After the dive and back on the boat we talked a lot about our experiences and everyone was super happy and had enjoyed the amazing dive! We listened to some music, ate a well deserved snack and generally chilled out and enjoyed life on our surface interval – and then it was on to our next spot – the day wasn’t over yet!!

I am really thankful that I had that opportunity to see these amazing animals and enjoy the diving of Nusa Lembongan and Manta Point. I am looking forward to discovering more new things over the next few days and weeks here on Nusa Lembongan with Two Fish DIvers!
