Did a day trip – normally planned as 3 fun dives with helping on the boat and carrying tanks etc, but because of strong current it was also helping and co-ordinating the group (with the other both guides).
Playing student for my colleague at the Discover Local Diving Program and on another day I played a Discover Scuba Diving student.
Leading a group of students (actors) for the fish recognize dive.
Open Water Course in confiened Water Dive 3 – assisting the instructor and show some skills.
Doing an equipment exchange in the pool with my colleague and breathing together from one regulator, but we weren`t stressed… we just relaxed…
Did dive briefings to the new guests, carrying tanks….
I also did a deep dive specialty. I think its good for the future to have it – so it was outside of the DM-Training, 4 Dives and a theory part by instructor, reading a book and watching a video.
So today I did a project aware (I planned it one day before). I asked the guests if they want to do a reef clean up by snorkelling. It was very motivating and helped also by planning. We were 10 snorkelers and 4 people helping on the boat. We did it in 40 minutes and got 230 KG rubbish out of the ocean. Most were clothes, plastic and cans. After that we separated the rubbish and submitted the data to projectaware.com.
We got also a overview about the Padi Pros website. If we are certified, we have an account there…
Tomorrow is my last day and I will hopefully do two fun dives and finish the last necessary things. And then I did 56 dives including the 4 deep dives and all “learning” dives.
The last part of my course here is the “technical” part of giving emergency oxygen. That will happen tomorrow, but I think it needs only 30 minutes.
So I changed my mind. I think it is possible to get a divemaster in 4 weeks if you don’t have that much experience. But its hard and stressful and my advice is to buy the theory stuff before you do the course and read learn and understand most things before arriving…. and better have the possibility to spend more time if necessary (i. e. illness).
