This week in Lembongan… Was the end of our 3 Divemaster trainee’s time in Lembongan. Ben and Nicole were with us for just over 6 weeks. Ben came already certified as a Rescue diver and Nicole still needed to complete her Advance course and Rescue. After 2 weeks of training for Nicole and some fun diving for Ben, the two of them jumped into their Divemaster course. Scott was with us for just over 4 weeks and was also already Rescue certified. Once here, the 3 of them worked together very well through their Divemaster program and were a great help to the dive centre!
All 3 have now left Lembongan and are taking a few days break before heading over to Amed (north Bali) to start on their next adventure – the PADI IDC. It is great that the 3 of them that have worked so well together during their Divemaster course. They will be all together to help and support each other through the Instructor course.
Over the 4 week Divemaster course, Ben, Nicole and Scott had the chance to be apart of the dive centre, apart of the team. Working closely with the dive staff. Not only were they working with their instructors but they also helped with the dive guides, with guiding, loading, briefings and washing equipment.
This week under the water we have been having some great dives at both the manta dive sites. One dive at Manta Point at the start of the week saw a mating train of around 10 mantas fly by the divers. A few days after, at Manta Bay, we also had lots of manta rays feeding at the surface but there was quiet a bit of waves. Along the north coast of Penida, we have still been finding lots of the little creatures that are tucked inside the reef. One cool creature, that is not so little, was spotted by dive guide Rocky and his guests, a giant yellow Frog Fish.
