This week in Bunaken on a dive site called Mamaling on the north of the island, guests were treated to a flyby of two spotted eagle rays. With beautiful mottled markings on their upper body, it’s always a pleasure to see eagle rays. And then later in the dive, the same rays returned for an encore. Other highlights include a close-up sighting of a black tip reef shark, an orangutan crab and let’s not forgot the turtles.
Bunaken is always superb for turtle sightings but this week on one wall dive there were fourteen close encounters. Turtle tastic ! Guests also dived two sites at the small neighboring island of Manado Tua along with a dusk dive on Bunaken to watch colorful Mandarin fish emerge from the coral for their evening antics.
Nina and Krish finished their open water course with Markus and are really hooked now! Congratulations!
