This Earth Day, all Two Fish dive centres took to the beach and to the oceans to clean up the amazing earth that we all live on.
Bunaken rallied their staff and guests together and headed out to do a clean up on their house reef. They were able to either, dive or snorkel along the reef to collect the rubbish that drifts to Bunaken Island. A super productive afternoon, with everyone getting stuck in and collecting as much rubbish as they could. A total 92kg was removed from the beautiful reefs and coral.
Lembeh also took to the waters of their house reef and also the beach in front of the dive resort. The cleaning team spread out along the beach and worked their way down the beach and into the water. All hands were on deck, picking rubbish and filling their bags, but being careful as to not disturb the little creatures but helping clean up their homes. Even Barney, the resort dog, got in the water to help.
Lembongan started with a planed cleanup dive on the north coast of Nusa Penida. With no too much rubbished being found on the dive, they reorganized a beach cleanup in the afternoon. With it being low tide, the groups had lots of beach to clean. Even the local children were happy to give a hand at picking up the rubbish.
