Explore Nusa Lembongan & Visit Nusa Ceningan
There is quite a lot of things you can do on a dry day over here in Nusa Lembongan. One of our favorite tasks we recommend to all our customers is to explore our little neighbor island Nusa Ceningan.
You can access Nusa Ceningan by foot, push bike and scooter via the “yellow bridge” which is the only connection between the islands. As it is far too hot to walk long distances we recommend a pushbike or scooter to get to Nusa Ceningan. Once you are there, there are only just a few roads you can choose…you cannot get lost ? If you want to go around the island you will find little beach clubs and bars, some even with a swimming pool, on the southwestern coastline which faces the channel between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. An absolute must see is Mahana’s point. The southwest tip of the island offers a breathtaking sunset and an amazing surf spot with huge waves. For those who prefer to watch the action, there is a little bar on top of the rocks which gives easy access to the obligatory sunset Bintang…amazing?.
To explore the eastern part of the island your scooter skills should be at least solid beginner level or above. You have to climb the hills to get on top of the cliffs facing Nusa Penida and the channel between Nusa Ceningan and Penida. Over there are far fewer people but still, amazing landscapes to discover. Get to Ceningan Cliffs, a little bar with drinks and an infinity pool with a view above Nusa Penida and the channel… you will love it. It’s hard not to fall in love with both the view and the made-to-order cocktails!
But please be careful, don’t drink and drive… the way down is an adventure of its own.
Another really interesting area on Nusa Ceningan is Blue Lagoon, a small bay where the sea looks really bright and blue. You cannot access the sea level, but even from the top of the cliffs, it is an absolutely stunning view.
As there is WIFI available almost everywhere on Nusa Ceningan you can easily use google maps if you need to check your orientation for finding your way back to the yellow bridge. On the way back to the bridge you’ll pass plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops so there is no reason for leaving Nusa Ceningan anything but well replenished after a day of exploring!
For sure you’ll return ready for another day of amazing diving after your day of exploring on land!!
