Our guests have had a wonderful week exploring the magnificent walls around Bunaken island. Though Bunaken offers a variety of dive sites, wall diving is the most popular type of dive site. With excellent visibility most of the time, these walls are stunning to be explored by all levels of divers.

The walls consist of hard coral formations dropping down to far beyond what the eye can see. The walls are decorated with, among other things, Gorgonian sea fans which hosts the tiniest of sea horse species, the pygmy sea horse, often spotted by the keen eyes of our dive guides. Besides tiny critters, the walls are also home to two different species of sea turtles, namely Hawksbill and Green turtles. Though we can never guarantee an encounter with these amazing sea creatures, we do come across at least one of the two species on almost every dive!

We welcomed Henrik to the world of SCUBA diving as he completed his open water diver course with Dion, under the watchful eye of our dive master trainee Tom who jumped on the chance to assist Dion in teaching this course.

We sad farewell to our dive master trainee Simone, as she has successfully completed her two week training with us in Bunaken. She will move on to TwoFish Divers on Nusa Lembongan where she will continue her course. We will miss her and wish her all the best for her future training.

This week we had a mix of nationalities in the resort with Mark joining us from the UK and Jan and Jana from Germany. We also had the pleasure hosting Cho and YeonMi from South Korea. The diversity of our guests made for pleasant dinner conversations where differences and similarities in cultures were hot topic.
