The Invasion of the Frogfish in Crystal Bay

Crystal Bay, one of our most famous cold water dive sites is usually known for the big fish we see here such as Mola’s, Bamboo Sharks, Wobbegong Sharks, Banded Sea Kraits and Turtles. But now another species has arrived and we are seeing frogfish in Crystal Bay.

Last Week our guests Christine from the USA and John and Jenn from Canada were able to see some different species of frogfish in Crystal Bay. Besides some Giant Frogfish with different colors the highlight was a Clown Frogfish in Crystal Bay, posing directly into Christine’s camera, so a big thank you to her for the great picture.

Besides frogfish you can also find various types of Nudibranches of different sizes and amazing colors here too.
