Who doesn’t love to see Giant Trevallies going out for some hunting? Around Nusa Penida, in some of the dive sites, normally when the current is strong, you can see gangs of huge silver angry Giant Trevallies going around the reef, swimming around, facing the current, looking for the nicest meal (or the easiest catch) and attacking.
The words ‘gangs’, ‘angry’ and ‘hunting’ probably don’t sound very nice, I know, but these awesome guys are totally oblivious to the divers, and to stop somewhere and observe their tactics is like watching a National Geographic video or a Blue Planet sequence. Who doesn’t love those guys? Well, probably not the Fusiliers and other small fish, but we do 🙂
The photo used for this post is from Beate, who was still with us last week, with Michael. And now they are already on the cold German winter, and the staff and the cute puppy Keks miss them here. Sven, the tech diver, has been diving with us for a few more days this week. And we got three Swiss divers: Nahuel, Rafaela and Jlona, used to dive in the cold European waters, and that enjoyed a lot the dives here. And don’t forget Eve, from New Zealand, that joined us for a Discover Scuba Diving experience, first in the pool in our Resort and then with two great dives in the North of Penida with Turtles, Morays, Scorpion Fishes, Nudis, Trevallies and all the rest of great stuff.
By the way, Happy New Year everybody!!!!
And there’s some also trawling around Bunaken ?
