This week in South Lombok … we have been enjoying the beautiful white ornate ghostpipe fish on our house reef! The lovely thing about this beautiful creature is that when caught in the right light it is almost completely translucent, but its hard to take a good picture on a white-sand background!
It has been a pretty quiet week for us and we have been spending the time doing some staff training. Not only do the the guides and boat crew get to learn/practice English, but we also cover dive theory and every thing in-between. Here in South Lombok we are very lucky to have such a fun, enthusiastic and all-round-awesome team!
On top of training, the dive guides have also done some exploration diving and they think they have found a new dive site to add to our list. I have not had a chance personally to dive the site, but the guides came back with stories of great visibility, some amazingly colourful reefs, frog-fish, pipe-fish, octopus, cuttle-fish, many nudi-branches, robust ghostpipe fish, squid and much more. I can not wait to check it out!
