Giant frog fish fiesta at Negeri this week! Diving around Manado Tua, our neighboring island is always exciting. Endless lengths of coral encrusted walls drop away from this inactive volcanic island. Often Manado Tua offers some more advanced diving as current is usually present, though this week, after speaking with Kres our senior dive guide, we heard there was little to no current at Negeri, one of the sites around Manado Tua.
On our first trip there earlier this week we were rewarded with a total of 4 giant frog fish which of course our guests were ecstatic about. A pod of pilot whales made for some serious entertainment during the surface interval. Not just our guests were impressed with the show these gentle giants put on, the guides had a fantastic dive here too, and so they decided to go back here again today. Guess what…they spotted the 4 giant frog fish again!
Besides some seriously epic diving, our instructor are continuing to work hard to complete all the courses that are booked. This week Martijn, Andrej and Willem became open water divers during their course with Helen and Ilse. Helen went on and taught her first solo course to Paolo and Sonja from Italy, an experience that none of them will every forget. Great work to all! Tom has taken on his first ever EFR and rescue course and signed of Tamara a few days ago. Also he has been busy taking the discover scuba divers and completed four this week with Marine, Christian, Laure and Cyril.
Besides that we have quite a few none divers in house as well who are happy to join the dive boat for snorkeling, take a dip in the swimming pool, or read a book in the hammocks or bean bags that are dotted around the resort.
All in all a wicked week here on Bunaken, we were just missing one thing…YOU! Join the fun with us at Two Fish Divers.
