This week we welcomed a group of divers used to dive with Twofish and seeking for great muck diving in Amed. What is amazing in Amed is the actual diversity of diving we can offer: wrecks, coral reefs, muck and walls are all around and we can easily combine them or focus on only one kind. For Nicole, Fiona and their friends the focus was set on muck.

The main particularity of Amed area for muck is that we deal with volcanic black sand. Who says volcano says great diversity and so this sand and gravel are full of life.

It offers habitat for loads of species such as Nudibranches, Frog Fishes, Eels, Gost Pipefishes, tones of different crabs and Shrimps, Seahorses, Dragonets, Flamboyant and Pigmy cuttlefishes,  octopuses including the mimic and wunderpuse… the list would be actually too long to set.

Guided by Bayu and Wayan our group of friends has been delighted by muck dive sites like Sidem or Seraya but olso gave a try to what Amed has to offer in terms of diving in tried almos everything within the week they spent with us.

After completing his training in Bunaken, Divemaster Daniel from Perth, Australia, join the crew this week at twofish Amed to get experience and explore Bali’s underwater world. In the meantime, Divemaster trainee Lasse from Danemark completed his “Tec” orientation with Tech instructor Yvonne Press and can now enjoy sidemount and twinset dives.

During this adventure he’s been lucky to have Tech Instructor Trainee Pushpak from India as a personal coach and Elise as a buddy.
