As you all know, sometimes the unusual happens…. And this is why we can easily call the last week here at Two Fish Divers Lembongan a proper “Shark week”.

Our customers Inge and Carsten from Denmark and Silvia, Andreas, Sabine and Gregor from Germany already saw bamboo sharks and wobbegong sharks at Blue Corner and Crystal Bay – two of our really famous Lembongan and Penida dive sites.

And then the unexpected happened. On several dives on the north of Nusa Penida, as well as at Crystal Bay, they were able to observe thresher sharks; gliding, majestic and peaceful in the blue, what a magic moment to spend time with this special species of shark. During a dive in Sampalan they were able to find a whole school of around 10 Hammerhead sharks. You can imagine their big smile on their faces, what a happy moment for all of them.

And Then a Great White in Crystal Bay…

And then, last weekend, Sabine and Gregor, Claudia and Johannes as well as Matt, Mila and Tom witnessed a really special encounter. Attracted by the cold water we currently have and as a first sighting ever in the Nusa Penida area a 5m female great white shark cruised by our guests and dive guide Franky in Crystal Bay – what an incredible sighting!!

As you can see in the picture, this was an impressive moment for our guests who came back from this dive with another once in a lifetime experience… everyone was beaming from ear to ear – a great white!! What an experience! Despite the reputation of great white sharks, they are apex predators which keep the oceans healthy by feeding off injured, sick and dying fish – not healthy, happy divers! The picture about was taken by one of our divers – she cruised by so majestically it was simply breathtaking.

Back at the dive center there have been a lot of courses going on this week. Niko, Jo, Vikki and Steven did their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver with Tom. Our Instructor Baron had a lot of fun in introducing Mathias into the world of scuba diving with a PADI Discover Scuba Diving.
