This week we’ve been enjoying the cooler time of year and diving a lot on the North side of Nusa Penida. The reefs here are in great condition with loads of marine life – including this Hawksbill Turtle who was so busy eating she wasn’t at all bothered by our divers taking photos and videos. Hawksbill Turtles mostly eat sponges (as well as poisonous jellyfish – thanks turtles!) but they sometimes chow down on coral and clear space on the reef for other corals to grow.
In other news, Diana has just joined us to start her DM programme (and did her first dive in Lembongan at one of our favourite spots, site that shall go unnamed as we normally have it to ourselves and we’d like to keep it that way!). Also in the centre, our Course Director Unieng is teaching some soon-to-be new instructors in our latest IDC and we’ve been teaching Open Water and Advanced courses also, so we’re busy teaching at all levels right now!
