This week in Bunaken we have been asked many by some of our guests, “is that really a crab?” There are so many weird and wonderful creatures around but a really heavily camouflaged candy crab is one really hard to find critter. With all of the same colouring and markings as the vivid soft corals that he makes his home. Even when you are looking right at it you might not even know that you are!
We celebrated with Rosa, our Divemaster in training, who graduated her course this week with a little party. All of our other guests were happy to join in the fun. The new Divemaster in training has been busy completing swimming tests as well as practicing search and recovery and other skills.
Meike and Joost brought the whole family to visit from Holland, we are having a lot of visitors from the Netherlands which is great for our Dutch instructor Ilse who is feeling right at home. In fact we have just started another Dutch Open Water diver course with Robin and Sharon. Many guests this week have visited our center in Lembeh as well as coming to Bunaken, getting the best of muck and reef diving in one holiday. We hope you enjoyed it Fu, Zhang, Jack and Ann. Some of our travel agents have been by to visit the resort, thanks for stopping in Lina, Hilda and Matt!
The seas have been calm and flat, blue and clear making for some stunning dives for everyone. We look forward to greeting you to Bunaken!
