This week in Lembongan… Poseidon has blessed us with amazing conditions and not only have we been able to fully enjoy these amazing conditions underwater but with a smooth boat ride, our divers have been able to enjoy the view as well. The dramatic cliff faces that coat the south side of Nusa Penida, offer our divers amazing views as we make the boat ride round to Manta Point or to Manta bay. Our guests have had the great chance to stop on the way to these dive sites to be able to take so amazing photos of the rock formations and cliffs. Just like in the photo above. This is take of the so called ‘elephant rock’, which is quite the feature on the way to Manta Point.
With these great conditions, we have been able to get around to Manta Point and Manta Bay quite a bit this week and our divers have had some breath taking experiences with these genital giants. One of the dives at Manta Bay, the divers were unsure of where to look as manta rays darted in all directions and everywhere they looked. Twisting, turning and feeding, not bothered by the divers, it was almost like these incredible creatures, were putting on a show just for us.
These calm sea conditions and almost no current, have provide our guides the perfect chance to take the time with their divers to fully examine every little crack in the reef to find as many hidden creatures as possible. Chris, who is a very keen photographer, has been singing Andy’s praises all week with the amazing creatures he has been pointing out. Chris has been able to get some eye catching photos of lots of different nudibranchs, crabs, sea horses and frog fish. Look out for next weeks blog post for some of Chris’ photos.
