So this week in south lombok we seem to have a massive increase in juvenile Cuttle fish. In 1 dive on the sand we found between 10 and 15 individuals and seeing them never gets boring with all there changes in camouflage and displays. Also on the dive we found juvenile sweet lips, nudibranches, crabs, shrimps, octopus and a hole load of pipe fish.
My self and the boys made the trip south to the Belongas area to have a bit of a warm up and some training in the area. We were not expecting to see much as it is not the season for the hammer head and the visibility is normally not as good. As we drove out on the boat we were pleasantly surprised that there were no waves and very little current and we were even more surprised when we descended in to 40 meter visibility. On the start of the dive we were meet by 3 eagle rays and had regular sighting of white tip reef sharks, we also had a chance to look for some macro due to the good conditions and we found quite a few nudibranches.
All in all it has been a good week with great weather, fantastic diving conditions and some amazing marine life so head over to south lombok and let us show you around.
