This week in Lombok …last week we had a lot of new sights at our fantastic dive site in South Lombok “the Sand”. We saw a achaeus japonicus, sometimes known as the orang-utan crab. With a carapace of only about 2 centimetres or 0.8 inches in diameter, which are thickly covered with fine hairs, red or reddish brown in colour. It is frequently, but not always, found in association with the bubble coral and often laden with small bits of debris for further camouflage. Also the other kings of camouflage could not be hidden from the good eye of our Diveguides Kiko and Bagyo. So it was quite busy at the sands with a light brown hairy frogfish, mimic octopuss, blue ring octopuss, green hairy spidercrap, decorater crap, pegasus sea moth and so much more!

Helga our lovely guest, seventy two years old, is a experienced diver with over 2000 dives. She was diving already in the whole world. She stays one month with us and said she cant stop diving here, the macro dive is just so amazing. Our deepest respect Helga!

Although our guest Joey and Kim, Instructors with a lot of dives under their belt, they found Sekotong amazing, they went one day over to Belongas were they had fantastic challing “adrenalin dives”.  They saw mobula rays, eagle rays and schooling white tip sharks and black tip sharks. They found the underwater landscape was breathtaking. They planing to come back in august for the season of the schooling of Hammer head shark and dive the famous dive site “the magnet” with us.
