Here in Lembeh, we have had a very busy week with customers from all over the world joining us for some world-class muck diving. We have not only had many returning guests but also a new guest who is undertaking his divemaster internship with Two Fish Divers Lembeh and Bunaken.
Thibaud has come all the way from France to develop his dive skills and he has jumped headfirst into the experience, starting with his Emergency First Response and Rescue Course. Here is what Thibaud has to say about his experience so far in Lembeh:
“Getting certified PADI rescue diver with Two Fish Divers Lembeh, is an inspiring experience.
The PADI Rescue Diver Certification is the last step before the divemaster professional level. It offers remarkable expertise in preventing and managing problems in the water.
We put into practice knowledge and skills in many scenarios: from Self-rescue, or handling stress, to rescuing unresponsive diver or practicing emergency first response. For many divers, the Rescue course is the most rewarding of all PADI. And I agree, learn to help others was exciting, and truly meaningful.
Lembeh Is the perfect place to make a break. Isolated on this tropical island, surrounded by a wild rainforest, I think about my time here as an authentic spiritual retreat. And after the financial quarter of Paris where I use to work, I ‘m reconsidering my lifestyle and wondering about a new life into the dive world.
I’m really thankful to Two Fish. You all have been doing a great job, from my arrival to the pumpkin curry. But especially the dive team: to Gregor, to Rachel, to John
Thank you, 2019 will be a year for things that matter and to move forward”
Thibaud will be moving to Bunaken to continue his divemaster training.
He was conducting his rescue training alongside our guides. It is important to refresh your rescue skills like these can be forgotten easily when they are not being used. Leading by example, even our most experienced guide of 10+ years was getting involved as panicked and missing divers!
Here at Two Fish, we take your safety very seriously. That is why all our guides in Lembeh are certified PADI Rescue Divers!
