Lionfish or Pterois, also called zebrafish is characterized by conspicuous warning colorationg with red, white, creamy, or black bands, showy pectoral fins, and venomous spiky fin rays.
Last week in Lombok south gili we saw lionfish; white and pink pygmy seahorse; frogfish; different kind of nudibranch ; orang utan crap; swarm of sardines; turtle, whitetip reefshark; marble ray; blue spotted stingray; and many more!
We like to say congratulation to Tobias and Laura they did the PADI Open Water Course with us. They were amazed of the different variation of Lionfish they saw. The beauty of the corals and the healthy reefs gave them a fantastic time. They enjoyed they dive with hundreds of sardines and a turtle passing by. The reefs at the south gilis are in brilliant shape, the water is calm and the visibility up to 25 meter.
Back in the water, Stefanie just loves the dives over here. She did a PADI refresher dive with us and saw for her first time a whitetipshark. The stunningly nice colourful coral plateau and the amazing amount of reef fish impressed her. She said that will be not her last visit at the south gilis in Lombok.
Hope to see you with us in South Lombok soon…
