This Week in Lembogan…. The good luck charms this week for the Mola madness that we have been having are Karoline and Rein. Karoline scoring a hat trick with her open water students who were luck to see three Mola Molas in a row all being cleaned. But Rein takes the cake with him and his divers stumbling upon a Mola Mola party of 6!
The Mola Mola season has differently started with Mola Mola sighting almost ever day. The Mola season does also bring the colder waters and we have seen some cool 18 degrees some days at Crystal Bay. If you see are guides shaking in the blue, it is not because they are cold, it is because they are doing the ‘Mola Mola dance’! A groove that sends sonic waves deep into the water, a somewhat offering to Poseidon to call to his creatures of the deep to rise up and present themselves for the divers.
Also underwater we have been having some great conditions for seeing many manta rays. We took Lillian from Aquatic Alliance (The Manta Research Team) for a special 2 dives at the manta sites. One was our very secret manta spot ‘Andy’s lost point’ where they experienced some great encounters with up to 20 different mantas.
We have also seen underwater dolphins, sea snakes, turtles, shrimps, crabs and much more!
I’m sooooooo jealous!!!!!!
They are seeing them every day at the moment and I am stuck at the office! Soon
